The motto of Middlesex Kiwanis, as part of Kiwanis International is “serving children of the world”. In Middlesex, we do this by performing service projects, providing scholarships, helping teachers and cooperating with other agencies who are helping children.
Our service projects are many, and include preparing weekend food for kids through Backpack Buddies, Christmas wrapping, cleaning trails at the Maritime Museum, providing food for the library carnival, cleaning the highways, helping maintain playgrounds and ball fields, and so much more.
How do we do it?
First and foremost, any successful club has a backbone of membership. We are about 60 members strong! We conduct two major fundraisers, which enable us to fund our goal of serving children.
Our membership includes people from all over our community. It includes young workers, school employees, retirees, bankers, and more. For FY 25-26, the slate of officers is as follows:
Board members:
Ron McCallum
Dave Prugh
Rick Smith
Dick Goyne
Ray Kotesky
Bill Budd
Officers
President – Greg Chambers
President Elect – Kim Bagby
Vice President – Doug Dillard
Secretary – Jeff Kelley
Co Treasurer – Bob Winslow
Co Treasurer – Elizabeth Faudree
Past President – AnnMarie Ricardi

The Middlesex Kiwanis Installation dinner is established for the purpose of installing our new and returning officers. This allows us a time to appropriately recognize those in the organization who have stepped up to assume leadership roles for the past year, their accomplishments, and to hear the initiatives of the newly appointed President.
It is our most formal signature event of the year and a time for us to socialize and connect with each other and invite our significant others. If possible, this meeting is normally held on the first Monday evening of the new Kiwanis fiscal year (this year we are meeting on the last Monday of the FY) and replaces our normally held Kiwanis meeting. Please note that the social hour starts at 5:00 and serving of the dinner at 6:00. Most of the time this allows sufficient time for those who work to get there by dinner time.
This is always a very enjoyable event. The business part of the meeting is kept as short and fun as possible! If you have not already signed up, please do so by emailing Terry, as we are only able to accommodate about 50 people.
Cobbs Creek Arts Center, 61 Cobbs Creek Ln, Cobbs Creek, VA 23035, USA

We are still planning for the next Lancaster Players Show on November 15, “It’s a Wonderful Life - A live Radio Play”. This one will be good as well and directed by our very own Doug Dillard. Put this on your calendar and let Terry Rogers know if you are interested! [email protected]
